About

Who makes these panels, where, and who sells them.

What this is

Kantha panels are made from salvaged cotton — offcuts and scraps that would otherwise be thrown away. Each panel is thirty-five squares, four centimetres each, arranged so that every seam still reads from across a room, then hand-stitched in running kantha by a woman in a workshop in Fort Kochi, Kerala, India.

You choose the arrangement yourself in the studio, from cloth you photograph into your own box — or from the Sample box to try it. Nothing is made in advance and nothing is made twice: when the cloth runs out, that panel cannot be made again.

Who sells it

Kantha is operated by Tinybridge Ventures Private Limited, registered in India at WeWork Galaxy, 43 Residency Road, Richmond Town, Bangalore 560025, Karnataka, India, GSTIN 29AAMCT7015P1ZJ. The workshop's finished panels are sold exclusively through the Cats of Kochi shop.

Goods are made in India.
